Avocado & cottage cheese toast

This is a combo that I’ve seen my favourite toast page make for years. I’ve linked her insta here.
Honestly, I’ve turned my nose up at it, but it’s something I’m absolutely making again.
It’s such a good source of protein that’s not just eggs.

Also, I took this to work as a sandwich, and WOW. You must do that.

Recipe

1 slice sourdough - mine was seeded rye sourdough, which was incredible.
2 tbsp cottage cheese
1/2 avocado, sliced
Drizzle of honey
Chipotle chilli flakes
Optional (but I would): bbq seasoning/ salts
Peeled garlic clove

Method

  1. Slice your sourdough & toast it.

  2. Cut your avocado in half and peel the skin off, then finely slicing it.

  3. Rub some of your peeled garlic over the toasted sourdough, then top with your cream cheese and sliced avocado.

  4. Top with your chipotle flakes, bbq seasoning, a drizzle of honey, and some salt and pepper.

Notes + Variations:

Swap out the toppings as you please, and use whatever bread you’d like to.
