Dubai chocolate oats

Prep time 5 mins
Cook time 5-10 mins

EVERYONE has seen this chocolate bar. It must be one of THE most talked about food items at the moment, and honestly, I get it - it’s crunchy, sweet nutty and melts in your mouth, and once you’ve fried your pastry, you’re pretty much done with this, so it’s super easy.

Recipe

THE PASTRY MIX
70g filo pastry, finely sliced
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp pistachio cream

THE OATS
Your oats cooked to your liking
30-50g chocolate

Method

  1. Finely slice your filo pastry, then slice into 3 width ways, cooking in a pan with butter on medium-low heat, until evenly brown and crisped up.

  2. Once your pastry is crisped up, mix with your pistachio cream so you have a paste, then cook your oats to your liking and melt your chocolate for the top.

  3. Add your oats to a bowl, topping with your pistachio pastry mixture, then top with your melted chocolate and pistachios if you have them.
